We also use “high fidelity” studio quality wireless microphones to obtain the highest quality audio for machine generated speech to text transcripts.
We capture each participant’s microphone independently and record the audio on its own unique audio channel. This allows us to isolate any participant’s speech in cases of simultaneous talking or when there is a dispute as to who actually made a recorded statement.
We also employ sophisticated (steerable) stereo microphones that pickup ambient sounds and any speech in the room including that of the participants.
Finally, we burn a real time DVD that has two audio channels, one that isolates the deponents microphone and one that has a mix of all other microphones.
